With your help I can do this!

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to have a crazy busy schedule so I thought I would lay out a workout schedule to go with my work schedule and post it to help keep myself accountable.  I have set myself a couple of fitness goals through Jan. 1st. First, I am trying to up my mileage to around 30 miles a weak through the end of the year. Second, I'd like to lose 6 lbs by the end of Nov. Through my log everything and my 3 x 30 challenges I feel that 6 lbs could be possible! Two pounds a week is a lot to strive for but I believe I can do it. I have been pretty successful with my weight loss so far, my goal has been to lose 1 lb a week and I have been averaging about that, the last few weeks I fell roughly 3 lbs behind where I want to be.  As long as I don't stray from my plan I feel that I can accomplish this goal.   This is what I have planned for this week. Sunday - Get your rear in gear 5k (3.1 miles) Monday - 3 mile run 30 min strength Tuesday - 6...

"You know you are a runner if..." Confessions of a runner

I noticed something strange the last few times I bought myself gifts... they all have a strange theme to them. . . then today when I was getting ready for work I chuckled to myself thinking, "Yep, I'm a runner!" So I decided to make today's blurb about my apartment and it's tells that I am a runner. Let's see if you agree. When you walk into my apartment I have a shoe rack to take off your shoes right away. On this rack I have four pairs of running shoes that I rotate through, not that unusual I suppose. But then you look up on the wall across from the shoe rack and you are greeted with this: Now, I can see where this might give the "I'm a runner!" vibe. I mean a whole board of race bibs and medals can't be that weird. On the the next section of my apartment, the dining room. You look to your right and BOOM! There is a bike and two more boards full of running memorabilia! Ok ok enough with the running bibs and encouragement clippings! On to t...

Run Baby Run!

Yesterday Anthony and I had planned on running together after he got off work but a little while before he got off work he text me saying he was tired. So I decided to cheer him up with some running encouragement photos. My photo experiment worked, I had  used the new iPhone timer in the Camera and it worked great. The more importantly it made Anthony laugh. After he got off work I made him dinner and we watched an episode of The Walking Dead and then we decided to go for a run.  Right off the bat the run didn't start well because I ate too much! We got to the bottom of the hill and had to walk. Food babies food!  During the run we both struggled with the over eating and then running. But in the end we still had a good run and I'm glad we got to go together. Just a short 3 mile run but better then no miles! Sometimes it's really hard to overcome being tired and getting out and running but sometimes it's worth it. When Anthony and I run together it is some of the best ti...
