Gym Gym Gym and Repeat!

There are many things that can cause hiccups in our daily routines. I have a hard time staying on track with my goals and but there are always things that can pull us back into reality for me, goals, attainable ones can put be back on the right track. Right now is Lent and I set some high goals for me this year but so far I have been doing extremely well and staying on the right path. I have been going to the gym every day and getting some great workouts in. I also have decided that I love the store Ross . I'm not a clothes person really, so that's not why I love it. They have the Best deals on small workout gear. I have bought my kettle bells, lifting gloves, Nike Studio Wraps ($55 "shoes" for $8!), hand grips, massage rollers, etc etc all from Ross for a fraction of the price that you'd pay at a sporting good store! Recently I bought one of these guys: I have been looking for one of these but haven't wanted to pay for them! A saddle cover that I can ...

Thailand's Festival of Lights

On your bucket list of places you'd like to travel, what's you number one? Loi Krathong the Festival of Lights in Thailand is by far my number one place/festival that I would like to see.  During the full moon of the twelfth lunar month, Bangkok hosts the Festival of lights. Loi Krathong refers to the lotus-shaped receptacle that can float on the water.  They can contain food, nuts, joss sticks   (incense),   flowers, coins and a compulsory candle. One of his wives wanted to please both the k...

Gym visit to burn of the Halloween dinner!

So today instead of going for a run I just had to go to the gym to cross train.  My friend Tricia is really big into cycling classes so I decided to try cycling once again today on my own. It went alright but dang! I have no idea how she does it for an hour!  I made it out alive but I could only make it for 30 minutes! So I took an after photo to prove that I survived! After a short stretch session I went on to my gym usual, the stairmaster. I started using the stairmaster a couple of years ago when I was invited to do The Big Climb Seattle, a 69 flight stair climb at the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle. And to train I did the stairmaster a impossible amount to get ready for the climb. I have a love-hate relationship with the stair master. I love it because of how amazing of a work out it is and I hate it because it can make my legs cramp up really easily. So today instead of just doing a short stretch session afterwards I stretched for at least 20 minutes before heading ou...
