The start of my little trip

Image
I did something that I have always wanted to do, I packed up my car, and Laddie, and drove off into the sunset, so to speak. I only had a vague idea of where I wanted to go and no idea how long we would be gone. It was one of the most liberating things I have ever done. I was completely free, with no one or anything to hold me back. I knew that I wanted to see the Washington peninsula; I had never been there before. I had lived in Washington for five years and had never seen that side of the state. The side that promises mountains, the sea and cute little towns along its coast. I knew that I wanted to hit some of the more popular spots, so I started off with Port Orchard, I didn’t stay. It wasn’t what I expected, too commercial. Which makes sense as it is very close to Seattle. I went on to Bremerton, which was a huge surprise to me. I loved the port feel, the small downtown feel, the ferries coming and going. However, I was very saddened by Bremerton at the same time. It is a dyi...

Lightening Flash Trip

As you may or may not know I am from the Midwest and I recently made a very quick trip back to the "homeland" to visit my family. By quick trip I mean almost crazy quick! I left Sunday morning after getting off work at 6:00am and arrived at my final destination Clever, MO at 8:04pm! A long day after completing a 12 hour shift at work, but I made it! Then Headed back Wednesday evening for my turnaround. I booked last minute so I didn't get the best deal on the airfare like I usually do but I still researched all the flights the best that I could before my flight. I flew Frontier and the only thing that I have against Frontier is that you have to pay for everything! From the soda and chips to even your carry on! So let's say you pay $300 for the round trip flight, but then there is the $20 baggage fee both ways, then if you don't want to be in the back with no leg room another $40 additional both ways. So that up to $520 already! No soda, no chips or whatever you mi...

Love in it's purest form

How do you plan on living your life? How do you plan on getting to your goal? My goal is to live as long as my grandpa but more importantly, live life like my grandpa. This weekend he turned 91 years young! Happy Birthday Grandpa! For me I hope to be like my grandpa by living in the moment, loving and forgiving, remembering to give more than I receive, to be humble and selfless, and staying as healthy as I can.  (Out to breakfast, his favorite is my favorite! Biscuits and gravy!) My grandpa never slows down, he is constantly moving and he is by far the hardest person to get ahold of! He is never home! He is always going out and about, spending time with friends and family, going to community activities and church functions, taking care of his home (including a dozen chickens, a dog and a horse), and helping others. (Grandpa feeding the horse, yes that's the hay in mid air as he tossed it! Go Grandpa!) My grandpa has one of the biggest hearts of any person I have ever met. He is alw...
