Advocare Day 5+

Yesterday on day 5, I can tell you now that it finally felt like a "cleanse" phase. But barely. The reason why is because there were two trips to the loo twice yesterday for the number two. But it was totally normal trips, just twice in one day instead of just once. But that is really it. No crazy illness, weird feelings or reactions. I am still having a mild headache, it is getting much better now. Which is a relief. I am also having gas still but this has also calmed down a bit but I am not going to kid you, it is still very prevalent and annoying as all get out.  I little tell about me that I don't believe that I have mentioned in the past, is that I do have IBS, Irritable Bowl Syndrome "is a disorder that leads to abdominal pain and cramping, changes in bowel movements, and other symptoms. IBS is not the same as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In IBS, the structure of the bowel is not abnormal....

What a day! It started off by me going to the store to to pick up the ingredients for French onion soup, which I have never made before so this was a whole new experience for me! Including a new ingredient that I've never used before either, rainbow chard. The recipe itself is pretty easy to make but it takes quite a while to make,  it says on the recipe it takes two hours, it took me about 2 1/2 hours.  Recipe found at Cooking Channel TV, Not My Momma's Meals, Light French Onion Soup . Then put them in frying pan and caramelize them.  Once that is done you simply add The roughly choppe...

It was surprisingly easy to make and really there were not that many ingredients involved.  Ingredients: 1 tbsp unsalted butter 1 large white onion, chopped 3 cups low sodium fat-free vegetable broth 1 lb baby carrots, peeled 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger 1/4 cup fat-free sour cream  salt and white pepper to taste 2 tbsp fresh chives, for garnish  " In a large pot or Dutch oven,  melt  butter over medium heat;  add  onions and cook, stirring often, until onions are soft, about 5-6 minutes.  Add  broth, carrots, and ginger. Cover  and bring to a boil.  Reduce  heat and  simmer  until carrots are soft, about 30 minutes." "Add  sour c...
