After much thought I have decided to change my blog name. I feel that my old blog name wasn't what my blog was representing. My new name is 100% me! Sun-Kissed Redhead with Sole, can't get more accurate than that.
I however, am technically challenged and can't figure out how to have my old posts automatically go to the new blog name. They still exist on this blog, but the old links don't work. :( So if you know how to fix this, please let me know!
So I thought it would be fun to sign up to do some product testing to do reviews for you but it turns out most of the time you aren't allowed to tell people about what you are testing. I signed up any way because I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I signed up for Asics , Brooks , New Balance , Under Armour , Vibram , Nike and Reebok . However, every single one of them said they were receiving a high volume of requests and I was put on a waiting list. So a year from now after I have forgotten that I have signed up maybe I will get an email from one of these companies! That's what happened when I signed up for the Moving Comfort product testing! I completely forgot that I signed up and BOOM! It was a very interesting experience too, I was able to go to their sister company Brooks testing facility and run on a funny treadmill with dots all over me and many cameras. But the people were lovely and I loved the science behind the whole process. Keep on Running!
I try my best to live a healthy lifestyle but life sometimes puts a bit more stress on me than it should and I break down every once in a while for a few months at a time. Whether it is because of recovery time from an injury or something else, I just get down on myself and I stop working out. I put on a few pounds here and there but it usually isn't that much. This year was different, even though I try to keep my head held up sometimes it loose sight of that healthy lifestyle and I binge eat junk food, this year, I binge ate for a few months! I just tried to eat my problems away. Which is never the answer but talking it out with my friends, and working hard to get some of the harder life things taken care of, I have been able to get the binge eating under control for now. It is something I have always struggled with, and I am sure I will continue to. If you would like to learn more about Binge Eating, click HERE . What is Binge Eating Disorder? I first met Pete at the Seattle Green Lake Running Group , Tuesday evening run several months ago. I knew he was still new to running but I had no idea how new or how much he has changed his life. I heard him say in passing that he'd recently lost a bit of weight. I didn't think too much of it but then I noticed that Pete was getting faster and faster during his runs. I'm not talking just few seconds here and there, Pete has dropped minutes off his average pace! He has completely transformed over this year. I have really enjoyed watching him fall in love with running and be naturally awesome at it! Finally one day I decided I needed to know his story. When did you realize that you needed to make a change in your life? I had just finished running a 1km leg of a 5km relay. I'd never run a race before, but when a friend invited me to participate in the Fremont Briefcase Relay, I thought that would be fun. I figured that even though I'd never run more than a mi...
