Time for a few big changes

Hello hello my lovelies! I am excited to say that my life has been completely changed in the last couple of weeks. I had seemingly fallen off the face of the Earth due to my 60-70 hour work weeks which left me with no energy to do anything fun, including running. I had a few “Ah Hah!” moments when it comes to the way I have been living my life. I wasn’t able to run yet another race, but to me, it wasn’t just another race, it was Gorge Waterfalls 50k put on by Rainshadow Running. I had been looking forward to this race for a very long time. This was just one of those things that didn’t sit well with me and I couldn’t put it to the side. I had a turning point at work; they asked me to work more hours and asked me to work even harder. So I decided it was time for me to part ways with Amazon and find something new.

As far as I know, we only get one life to live and I am going to try harder to live that way, enjoy life more and not just toss it out the window for a big corporation to just swallow and take advantage of.

That's right, I said it. And you know it's true. Today I thought I'd share with you a few memes that make me laugh.  This one is huge for me! Every time I see someone actively working out at the gym that is over weight I want to go up and give them a high five and say they are awesome.  Enough said! How I feel after long runs. Yeeps! 520 10k

Did you know that Seattle hosts that largest floating bridge in the world! And for their grand opening they hosted a 10k race! The Go Long 520 10k , how cool is that! This was one opportunity that I just couldn't miss. This was the first 10k that I have run in months and months. So I really didn't know what to expect as far as pace. My goal was to get below 1 hour and I did! I came in at 57 minutes! Which is the fastest I have ever run 10k.  The race had many issues, bottle-necking was the primary one. Thankfully I was keeping a fast enough pace to miss out on those problems though. But considering that it was a pop up race that had never been done before, I think it went very well.    My power pose for finally getting below 1 hour! Keep on Running!
