So I thought it would be fun to sign up to do some product testing to do reviews for you but it turns out most of the time you aren't allowed to tell people about what you are testing. I signed up any way because I thought it would be a fun thing to do. I signed up for Asics , Brooks , New Balance , Under Armour , Vibram , Nike and Reebok . However, every single one of them said they were receiving a high volume of requests and I was put on a waiting list. So a year from now after I have forgotten that I have signed up maybe I will get an email from one of these companies! That's what happened when I signed up for the Moving Comfort product testing! I completely forgot that I signed up and BOOM! It was a very interesting experience too, I was able to go to their sister company Brooks testing facility and run on a funny treadmill with dots all over me and many cameras. But the people were lovely and I loved the science behind the whole process. Keep on Running!
I am sure that many of you have heard of the Ragnar Relays but have you heard of Ragnar Trail Relays? Same concept of a relay team but very different concept about traveling 200 miles. In a Ragnar Trail Relay there is a base camp where all of the teams camp out for a couple of days while each team member takes their turn running the three trail loops. Each runner still runs 3 separate times, just like a Road Ragnar but instead of all different legs, everyone on the team runs the same three legs. We did it! This race was a bit of a tough one, one of our teammates Lynne had an unfavorable run in with another very rude runner and ended up breaking a few bones in her right leg. We are all very grateful that she is up and about now, determined to be running again in the fall. She is an amazingly inspirational person who has shown us that there are no excuses! Here's to you Lynne! May you heal swiftly and kick all of our asses at our next meet up! I look blah but was doi...
I have been severally slacking on all of my training lately. It has been do or die at work the last few months. I had a lot of fun today, spending the day off work and hanging out with my dog and going for a fun 6 mile run. It was so refreshing and way over due. I tried something new today with Laddie. I had him run along with me while I went on a short bike ride and it was amazing! He did so great, didn't tip me over even once. I have a rough couple of weeks ahead of me a work but once I get through them I should be able to start kicking things back up into high gear with my training and I can't wait! I was also blessed with this awesome commuter bike, pictured above, that I will be able to start using then as well! The light is at the end of the tunnel and I can see it! Keep on Running. Even through the hard times. Check out some of the awesome Orca Running Races! https://www.facebook.com/ OrcaRunning/ https://www.facebook.com/ ...
