Exploring Utah!

Kaurine and I have already had many adventures in the great outdoors of Utah. There are so many beautiful places to go and see! We have barely scratched the surface of it all. The following are a few of my favorite pictures from our recent adventures.

There are a few places that we can take the dogs, so we take them when we can. They love hiking, backpacking, trail running just as much as we do. We do practice leave no trace, Laddie was recently fitted with his own doggy backpack, which means he gets to carry his own poop out. Which is awesome! I hated carrying it in my pack. 
If you are on a trail and you see trash, pick it up. I never come back from an adventure without trash in my pack that I have collected along the way. Want to get more involved with keeping our trails clean? Check out Clean Trails. 
Plogging is the new awesome trend of picking up trash while you exercise!  
I can't wait to get back out into the mountains as soon as possible!

That's right, I said it. And you know it's true. Today I thought I'd share with you a few memes that make me laugh.  This one is huge for me! Every time I see someone actively working out at the gym that is over weight I want to go up and give them a high five and say they are awesome.  Enough said! How I feel after long runs. Yeeps! The best one yet!  To have the enthusiasm of this girl! I hope you all enjoyed and at least giggled once or twice, yes, giggled!  Keep on running!

520 10k

Did you know that Seattle hosts that largest floating bridge in the world! And for their grand opening they hosted a 10k race! The Go Long 520 10k , how cool is that! This was one opportunity that I just couldn't miss. This was the first 10k that I have run in months and months. So I really didn't know what to expect as far as pace. My goal was to get below 1 hour and I did! I came in at 57 minutes! Which is the fastest I have ever run 10k.  The race had many issues, bottle-necking was the primary one. Thankfully I was keeping a fast enough pace to miss out on those problems though. But considering that it was a pop up race that had never been done before, I think it went very well.    My power pose for finally getting below 1 hour! Keep on Running!
